What is Danish oval? 

You may have heard of the term Danish oval before, but you may still not exactly know what it means. The long side of a Danish oval dining table is curved, just like a standard oval dining table. The big difference is in the end sides. The ends are finished straight, creating two full seats. That allows you to place two extra chairs on the end sides!

The size of your new dining table is one of the most important specifications of your new furniture. That’s why it’s smart to carefully map out the exact size of your dining or kitchen at home. This way you won't be faced with any surprises when your table arrives. One of the smallest sizes suitable for 6 people is 220 cm. With this tabletop, you can fit 3 dining chairs on the long side without it becoming crowded. In terms of width, you can then choose from 100, 110, 120 or 130 cm. If you really want to get the most out of your space, it’s smart to choose the perfect width.

Danish oval dining table 240 cm

Do you have a little more space at your disposal, or do you simply want a slightly larger dining table? Then we automatically arrive at a tabletop length of 240 cm. To keep the table nicely balanced, we recommend increasing the width a little. You will then end up with a width of at least 110 cm. Tip: as we mentioned earlier, you can place chairs at the ends if you wish. This way you can easily turn your 6-person table into an 8-person one.

Danish oval dining table 260 cm

The largest size we cover in this blog is 260 cm. This is a large tabletop that you can easily sit on and even offers space for 8 chairs.
