The best table for kids
At Table du Sud you have the option to have the table lacquered or oiled in a specific colour. This ensures that the table is well protected against circles and stains. But which table is the most kids-proof and is most strongly protected against the food stains and craft supplies? Picture: interieur_by_liese
Maintenance wooden furniture
How nice that you have bought a piece of furniture at Table du Sud! We hope you enjoy your purchase for many years. The furniture will probably be used intensively. Therefore good maintenance of the furniture is therefore very important. Below we have listed some practical tips so that you know what to look out for.
Maintenance textile and leather
When cleaning leather, use a clean, lint-free cloth. Treat a stain as soon as possible, usually a cloth with lukewarm water is sufficient. Never rub too hard in one spot, this will give shiny spots and clog pores. Blot moisture spots as quickly as possible with a tissue or kitchen paper. Leather is a natural product. This means that there may be minor deviations between your product and those of the showroom models or samples.
Maintenance marble table
The great thing about marble is, in addition to the beautiful print, that this material lasts a lifetime. That means that when you buy a marble table top, you get a sustainable piece of design. At Table du sud, the marble is treated with an agent that provides the open structure with a protective layer. However, some care in the use and maintenance of marble remains important.
When we deliver our tables to your home, we also provide a corresponding maintenance card. This card contains information about your furniture and how you can best maintain it. This way you will enjoy it the longest! Do you prefer to view this information online? Then you will find information about the maintenance of your furniture on this page.
The majority of our tables are assembled by service technicians upon delivery. That works slightly different for TV furniture and wall shelves. These are delivered in full, but are not mounted in walls by our technicians. You know the walls of your house best and can also determine the ideal position at your leisure. How that works? We help you with that.
Everything about marble tables
Also such a fan of marble? Then this trend is just for you! We see it more and more often in homes. Think of kitchen worktops, tiles, coffee tables, dining tables ... It is a trend with a beautiful appearance that is easy to combine. But what is so typical about this trend? And which furniture suits it best? Will you read along?
Everything about Fenix tables
We see innovation everywhere, including in table tops. In 2013, a new type of material called "Fenix" was developed with the aim of meeting the needs of two interior design trends: smart materials and matte surfaces. The result is a surface that is extremely matte and does not reflect. This preserves the colour of the top and fingerprints are not visible. Superficial scratches can even be repaired thermally. Enough reasons for Table du Sud to include this material in its range. Are you new to Fenix or are you simply looking for more information about this fantastic material to make your choice? Read more about the benefits of Fenix and the possibilities at Table du Sud here.
Everything about tree trunk tables
If you talk wood, you’re basically talking nature. Our tables are made of the most beautiful wood, so our live edge tables really are special. At Table du Sud we sell plenty of tables made of different types of wood, such as oak and walnut. Besides, we produce stone tables made of concrete, Fenix, and marble. The best thing about wood is its natural origins; its knots and cracks are characteristic of the material we are so fascinated with. As for the table’s edges, you can choose one with a sleek finish, but you may also opt for a table with a sloping edge: the live edge table.
Do you have a rectangular house and find it difficult how to best organize it? With a long living room, it is important that you ensure that the space is broken up. If you put all the furniture along the wall, it makes the room look even longer. In this blog, you will read a number of practical tips, so that you can ensure that your rectangular home comes into its own.
A style that we currently see a lot in Dutch interiors is the industrial style. This is usually characterized by its simplicity and the use of robust, sometimes rough materials such as steel and the use of unprocessed wood. Many think of the combination of brick, metal, gray and concrete, but the industrial style can also be applied subtly. This can be done, for example, by choosing specific colors for furniture. At Table du Sud we have an extensive range of industrial tables, but what makes our industrial tables stand out from the rest?
Wij houden van de kleur zwart
A suitable interior has never been more important than it is now. We are all at home and now that the holidays are almost upon us, everyone wants to bring that extra bit of atmosphere into their home. In essence, a (black) Table du Sud dining table does not need much to style it, but here are some nice tips anyway!
New oak wood
The oak tables at Table du Sud are available in both “new” and “lived” oak. Although these tabletops are made of the same quality oakwood, they have a different finishing. New oak is not brushed and next to this its knots are filled, which gives the table a smooth feeling. These new oak tables appear calmer and more modern.
Error free oak
Besides “new” and “lived” oak, Table du Sud also offers “error free” oak. This does not mean that new and lived oak contain errors, but rather means that error free oak contains no cracks or knots whatsoever. As finding wood that meets these requirements is both harder and more costly, we charge some additional costs.
At Table du Sud you may choose between a metal, wood, and stainless-steel base for your table. If you pick a metal base, you can in turn choose between many different finishes. The base can be finished with either a clear coating or a powder coating. Further information can be found below.
How a herringbone table is made
The herringbone floor plays an unquestionable role in modern interior designs. The origins of this beautiful pattern are unknown, but they became hugely popular in sixteenth century Italy and France. The French called this pattern “Bâtons rompus”, which literally translates to broken sticks. We simply call it herringbone. Sticks, stones, or bones, at Table du Sud we have become enthralled with the herringbone pattern and have found a way to incorporate it in our tables.
