Materials

Discover which materials we use for our furniture.

So much furniture, so many materials! We choose the best, sustainable materials for the furniture that we make in our own workshop. We want to ensure that you enjoy it for as long as possible!

Some of our furniture is custom ordered. We only work with suppliers who have the same quality standards as we do. Every material is different, has different properties and needs different maintenance. That is why we recommend that you read these blogs carefully.

Frequently asked questions about our materials

Which material is best suited for my family and our daily use?

That depends on how you live. Do you have young children who spill, draw, or toss their toys onto the table? Then a scratch- and stain-resistant material like ceramic or Fenix is a smart choice. Do you love the warm, natural look of wood and don’t mind it gaining some character over the years? Then solid oak is perfect. We’d love to hear your story in our showroom and help you decide which material suits your family best.

What’s the difference between oak, walnut, ceramic, concrete and Fenix?

Oak gives your interior a warm, natural look that only becomes more beautiful over the years. Walnut is a bit darker and exudes pure class. Ceramic is perfect if you want to live carefree: it’s heat, scratch and stain resistant, and very low maintenance. Concrete looks rugged but feels surprisingly soft. And Fenix is ultra-matte, almost velvety to the touch, and doesn’t show fingerprints. In our showroom, you can see and feel all these materials for yourself, so you can be completely confident in your choice.

How do I best care for my table, chair or sofa?

That naturally depends on the material you choose. Solid wood stays beautiful with an occasional treatment of oil. Ceramic and Fenix are very easy — a damp cloth is all you need. For fabric or leather sofas, we’ll give you clear care tips in our showroom. That way, your furniture will last for years to come, worry-free.

Are these materials resistant to stains and scratches?

Ceramic and Fenix are top of the class when it comes to stain and scratch resistance — perfect if you have kids, pets, or love entertaining guests. Wood is a bit more sensitive, but that’s exactly what gives it its unique character over time. Concrete can handle a lot too, but needs just a bit more care. We’re happy to explain it all in our showroom and help you find what suits your family best.

Can I also get samples to view at home?

Absolutely! We’re happy to send you free samples so you can see at home how the colours and textures work in your interior. Of course, you’re also always welcome in our showroom to see and compare everything in person.

Which materials are best if we use our table intensively?

For families who really live at their table — eating, crafting, working or playing games — we often recommend ceramic or Fenix. They can handle quite a lot. Prefer wood? Then we’ll help you pick a type and finish that can stand up to everyday life. That way, you can enjoy it without a worry.

What’s the price difference between the different materials?

The price mainly depends on the material and the finish. Solid wood or walnut is usually on the higher end, while Fenix and oak veneer are more budget-friendly. Ceramic falls somewhere in between, depending on the type. We’re happy to clearly explain what influences the price, so you know exactly what you’re choosing.

How long will it take for my table, chair or sofa to be ready?

On average, you can expect about 8 to 12 weeks. That depends a bit on the material and finish you choose. Since we make everything ourselves in our own workshop, we can give you a very accurate delivery date. So you’ll know exactly when to look forward to that first cosy moment at your new table.

Are your materials sustainable and environmentally friendly?

Yes. We deliberately choose wood from sustainably managed forests and work only with European partners who maintain strict standards for both quality and the environment. Everything is carefully crafted in our own workshop, which helps us avoid unnecessary transport. This way, you’re contributing with us to a better, more beautiful world.
