House of Gray: bring Paris into your home
At Table du Sud we’re busy inventing and manufacturing unique furniture on a daily basis. We also love to inspire you from time to time with the latest trends. We'll keep an eye on them, so we can share them if we think they’re worthwhile.
And this time it's more than worthwhile! House of Gray is one of this year’s first spring trends. You can read all about it in this blog!
What is House of Gray?
As the name suggests, this trend has to do with the colour grey, but it wouldn't be right to leave it at that. House of Gray has so much more in store for you. This trend fits perfectly with high ceilings and relatively large windows, but that isn’t a requirement. Fans of France and/or Paris are probably excited for House of Gray as this trend is a big fat nod to Parisian apartments. At House of Gray, classic elements are combined with graphic shapes.
Colour palette
The description above is still quite broad and you can essentially do more with it. If we take a closer look at House of Gray, we can see the different emerging colours. First of all, and quite obviously: grey. But don’t forget concrete tones and black and white. To counteract the minimalist aspect in terms of colours, you can opt for gold and or silver elements.
Hotel chic
We can classify all trends that come and go under a certain style. For House of Gray that’s hotel chic. This living style may not be as well-known as the industrial or rural living styles, but it’s definitely worth a look! Hotel chic mainly employs luxurious and rich materials. Velvet is also a fabric that we see a lot of. In other words: glamour and luxury!
Which furniture?
Which furniture actually fits hotel chic and House of Gray? In terms of material, we immediately think of oak wood with a generous finish. Tree trunk tables have also found their way to this trend. Additional colours you can use to complete your new interior are dark blue, dark green and burgundy red–mainly to provide extra warmth.
Additional inspiration
Are House of Gray and hotel chic just not up your alley? No worries! Be inspired by the other living styles. Earlier, we already talked a bit about rural and industrial living. Make sure you don’t forget to check Japandi, Scandinavian and modern, though! There’s something for everyone!
