Oval dining table 280 cm
We make our oval dining tables for you in our own workshop in Heeze, Brabant, not far from the place where the first Table du Sud dining table was once made. This workshop is equipped with ultra-modern machinery, which gives our professionals the opportunity to make a wide variety of dining tables. This in turn gives you many options when composing your new dining table. One of the most important aspects of a new oval table is the size, naturally. We advise you to choose a tabletop of at least 280 cm. With this size, you can be sure your chairs (and people) have enough space. An oval dining table of 280 is relatively large, meaning the width should be increased as well, so you can keep balance intact. In our opinion, a width of 120 or 130 cm suits a tabletop of 280 cm best. Try to determine which width best suits the space at your home. This way you can make maximum use of the dining room or kitchen. Tip: you can also buy dining chairs from us and compose them by yourself. That’s how you kill two birds with one stone!
Oval dining table 300 cm
Does your space offer you the opportunity to go bigger size-wise? Then an oval dining table of 300 cm certainly belongs to the options. With an oval table of 300 cm, you bring a real eye-catcher into your home, one to enjoy with the whole family and friends. With a such a big table, we do recommend increasing the width accordingly. 120 cm is certainly possible, but you can also easily go for a larger size. We even advise you to go for 130, 140 or 150 cm. Did you know that we can make even more shapes for you that belong to the oval category? We also have Danish oval, semi-oval, and semicircle tabletops. Check them out and be inspired. This way you know exactly what’s possible so you can make the right choice. In our blog about the 4 oval shapes we will tell you more about this and you’ll immediately see all the differences in a handy overview.
Oval dining table 320 cm
In our opinion, this is the largest size that’s suitable for a setup with six dining chairs. Here, too, you have several options when it comes to width. In fact, a width of 120 cm is certainly possible. Of course you can also choose a larger size. With a tabletop of 320 cm it’s even possible to place up to 10 chairs. We would like to urge you to use chairs without armrests, however, as these take up slightly less space. That way you can fit exactly 10 of them, if you so wish!
Small oval dining table for 8 people
Just like a small dining table for 6 people, it’s also possible to have a small dining table made for 8 people. In the case of an oval variant, we recommend that you choose a tabletop of 260 cm. If you plan to do this, we also recommend that you choose chairs without armrests. Wide chairs with armrests simply take up too much space.
Space behind your oval dining table
Especially when your space is relatively small, it’s wise to use the space provided as efficiently as possible. This way you don't leave a metre unused and get the most out of your dining room or kitchen. When moving, it can be difficult to determine the correct dimensions of your new dining table and the space around it. Because how much space do you actually need between the wall and the table? We recommend leaving at least 70 cm space between the edge of your oval table and the wall. This gives you the option to push your chairs back and allow people to walk behind others without it becoming too crowded.
