The tree-trunk table is and remains a special piece of furniture. At Table du Sud, we are proud to use the most beautiful tree trunks to make our furniture. We can well imagine that you have a number of questions before considering a tree-trunk table in your home.
To help you, we have selected ten questions that we will answer in detail for you. That way, you can learn more about our tree-trunk tables and see if it's something for you.?
We use oak for our log tables. These are tabletops made from a single plank. Would you like to know more about our material? Then read more about our oak.
Once you have selected a tree-trunk table, it's time to put it together according to your wishes. You will soon see that we have several sizes in store for you. After you have chosen your size, you will immediately see how many planks we have in stock in that size and what they look like.
Our tabletops are so unique and different in shape that we like you to see your tabletop first. That way, there are no unexpected surprises at home and you know exactly which unique table you are getting.
We prefer to work with as little stock as possible. We keep part of our stock in Heeze and these table tops can be viewed if you are interested. The remainder is not at this location and cannot be viewed. We do take detailed photos of each table top to give you a good idea of the table you choose. We also mention the location of the specific leaf. By the way, did you know that we also sell individual table tops? You can find all options and additional information on our loose table tops page.
By knots, we mean the natural 'holes' in the wood. These holes make the planks unique. When it comes to filling holes, you actually have two choices. In the case of Suar, we choose not to fill the knots. We do this to preserve the authentic look of the wood.
In the case of oak, however, it is possible to have the knots and cracks filled. So if you are looking for a billiard table top, choose an oak treetop table.
Again, you will find differences between Suar and oak. We sell Suar in the natural wood colour and in brown. This is a slightly darker variant with a warm look. With oak, you have more colour options. Here, we have no fewer than 11 colours for you to choose from.
The advantage of having our own workshop in Heeze is that we have complete freedom in making our furniture. That means we can also mix and match when it comes to tabletops and bases. In other words, you can therefore always pair your favourite base with a Suar or oak table top.
