What is powder coating?

Powder coating is a painting process in which a protective and decorative layer is applied to metal (in our case to the steel frames). This specially developed mixture is sprayed onto the surface with a special powder coating gun. After curing, the furniture can be used for years!

What are the advantages of powder coating?

Of course, you can choose to apply a layer of paint to your frame with a brush yourself, however, we advise against it. Instead, we suggest you carefully consider the colour of your new dining table before purchasing, so you can enjoy the benefits of powder coating with peace of mind. Powder coating is, for example, sustainable and environmentally friendly. This finish is scratch, chemical, and abrasion resistant. The process also produces virtually no organic waste, which means it leaves fewer environmental traces compared to traditional painting. In addition, the coverage is perfect. The process distributes the powder perfectly evenly. This means there’s no colour differences and the paint doesn’t drip. By the way, did you know that we also sell dining chairs? Where are the Table du Sud frames powder coated?

As you may know, our modern workshop is located in Heeze, North Brabant, not far from the place where the first Table du Sud table once saw the light. Which colours can you choose?

To keep things clear, we offer the four most popular colours. Of course, black is among them. Black has been growing more and more popular in recent years, and it’s certainly no longer limited to industrial living styles. In fact, black is by far the best-selling colour in our range! Naturally, white can’t be left out, as it’s the natural counterpart to black. Choosing white as the foundation of your new dining table may be daring, but try to think in terms of possibilities. Our tabletops are also available in different colours, so you can go for a nice mix. You can also opt for gold. Um, what, gold? Yes, of course! It will undoubtedly shine in your dining room or kitchen! Finally, there’s anodic brown. This is the ideal option if you want something different and, for example, don’t want to go for the standard black. Tip: take a look at all living styles for inspiration.
