Living trends 2023: colours and shapes

Do you like to be at the forefront when it comes to the latest trends, or do you purely rely on your own instincts when choosing a new interior? In any case, it’s nice to know what is currently trending, and whether that matches your personal taste.

In this blog, we’ll take a closer look at the colours and shapes we think will do well in 2023.

Beige stays

Again, beige will set the mood in many interiors this year. Beige is and remains a colour that’s been popular for some time, and we really don't see that changing this year. This colour is especially dominant in many living rooms, which we expect to see in 2023 as well. Of course, there are many variants of beige, and you can vary endlessly with all options. On the one hand, you can opt for beige as the foundation of your space, on the other you can use beige through subtle elements!

Went for the first option? Then take a look at our sofas and rugs. All sofas are available in many different colours, which means there’s always a variant that perfectly matches your wishes, as well as the rest of the interior. Tip: our pictured sofas only give an indication of the possibilities; all these sofas can be ordered in different shapes, colours, and materials. Try to think in terms of possibilities!

Sustainable and green

We’re all living more and more consciously. We try to lower our energy bills in inventive ways, we buy locally more often, and we recycle like crazy. This trend, if you can call it that, is reflected in our interiors as well. Sustainable materials are becoming increasingly popular and in terms of colour we immediately think of green.

Green is a colour that allows you to go in many directions, and one that comes in many variants. From striking light green to a green that looks almost black. Are you a real fan of green and would you like to look for an extremely natural interior? Consider a green wallpaper with large prints of trees, flowers, and/or animals.

Organic shapes

If we continue with this naturalistic theme, we quickly arrive at organic forms. An organic shape is a natural shape, like a drop of water. At Table du Sud, we love our pebble-shaped tables. This shape is perfect for anyone who dares to jump in the deep end. You choose a different, practical shape that basically allows you to go in all directions. You determine the details yourself, after which we’ll get to work for you in our own workshop in Heeze, Brabant.

Would you like a more common shape? Then consider going for a round tabletop. The round shape is once again incredibly popular and it truly radiates with cosiness. You can look everyone in the eye at a round table, which guarantees a nice dinner and/or drinks!

Expert advice

You already know there’s a lot to consider when choosing your interior. Appropriate advice or a look from a different angle can help enormously. Our experts are ready for you in our showrooms in Utrecht, Heeze, and Deventer. Here, we’ll happily welcome you and take a look at suitable furniture together. You don’t need to make an appointment for a visit.
