Episode 4: Chantal & Ruben

Finding and buying a home can be quite the challenge for young people, something Chantal and Ruben know all too well. This lovely couple from South Holland had been living with Chantal’s parents out of necessity. So, the search for a beautiful home of their own became a top priority.

And did they succeed? Absolutely! Chantal and Ruben are now the proud owners of a wonderful home in Vlaardingen, complete with a few real eye-catchers from our collection. Let’s just say the original interior of the Vlaardingen home was one for the true connoisseurs. Were you a fan of the bright yellow walls and green doors? Or were you eager to see how the experts would turn things around? One thing became crystal clear after seeing Chantal and Ruben’s mood boards: things had to change and dramatically so. Their wish for a calmer, more cohesive space couldn’t have been clearer.

That’s why a toned-down colour palette was chosen, free of bold contrasts or loud hues. The kitchen now feels both organised and welcoming, thanks in part to the functional bench that cleverly doubles as storage. When you take a closer look at the living room, you’ll immediately notice the connection with the dining area.
