Episode 8: Jolien

For episode 8 of the ninth season of Kopen Zonder Kijken, the experts turned their attention to Hengelo. After some time searching, they found Jolien a new home there.

In Jolien’s new, more compact home, the experts faced a number of challenges. Moving to a smaller space often requires a different approach, as every square metre needs to be used with care. There are subtle ways to make the most of the space, without the interior feeling crowded.

In Jolien’s case, there was a clear wish for a generous dining table, a place where guests could always be welcomed. In the Hengelo home, this resulted in a distinctive centrepiece. The solid oak semi-circular dining table with the Oos base stands out immediately, positioned thoughtfully against the wall to save space. When needed, the table can be moved slightly away from the wall to create an additional seat.

In the living area, the Camiel sofa was selected. A generously proportioned sofa, designed for relaxed lounging. The longchair, added by Roos, enhances that sense of comfort, offering space to fully unwind. When guests arrive, the footstool on the right can be moved and used as a separate seat, helping to create a more flexible seating arrangement.

The sofa is upholstered in fabric Royal. A soft, velvet-like material that invites you to settle in. The Magnolia shade connects naturally with the dining chairs, bringing cohesion between the two areas of the home.
