For Britte and Jip, their shared wish was crystal clear: a home with enough space for the whole family, a garden, and above all: peace and room to breathe. With their family growing and another baby on the way, their apartment had become too cramped, and it was definitely time to move. We can say without hesitation that they found the perfect home for their lovely family in Lisse.
The new house features four pieces from Table du Sud. On this page, you’ll discover which ones and we’ll be shining a light on the airy kitchen, because it has truly become the heart of the home.

In the spotlights: airy family kitchen
The experts were faced with quite a challenge, but thanks to a few clever solutions, they managed to transform what looked like a small kitchen into a surprisingly spacious and airy room that lets in plenty of natural light. One smart move was removing a large part of the hallway and incorporating it into the kitchen, partly by integrating the coat cupboard into a kitchen cupboard. The light design of the central table leg, along with the matching dining chairs, played a key role in bringing Britte and Jip’s vision to life.
Looking for ways to make your own kitchen feel bigger and brighter? The ideas above might just help. Also consider how much natural light enters the room, even one large window can make all the difference. Want to know more about the furniture that completes this kitchen? You’ll find all the details below. And one final tip: have a look at our blog on space-saving dining tables, full of advice from our experts on how to make the most of your space.
Living room
The living room carries through some of the style elements from the dining area. The oval Chloe coffee table, for example, also features an ultra-matt lacquer finish, creating a clear visual link with the dining table and chairs. A nice touch is the rounded facet edge, a finish that’s perfect for families with young children. With no sharp corners or straight edges, it’s a child-friendly choice that adds both safety and softness.
The real eye-catcher in this space is the Rosali sofa. What’s great about this piece is that its bold design doesn’t come at the expense of comfort or practicality. Its colour leans somewhere between red and pink, making it a true focal point in the room. Like the look of it, but fancy something a little different? No problem! Just head to our 3D configurator and bring your dream sofa to life.
The dining area features a Danish oval dining table, a shape that’s ideal for families, as you can easily place a high chair at either end. It’s also perfect for households that love hosting cosy dinners or casual drinks. Love this shape? Take a look at our collection of Danish oval tables and get inspired by all the options. You can customise every detail. From top to bottom to suit your style.
The look is completed with the Vintage dining chair. A lovely touch in this home is that both the table and chairs were finished in ultra-matt lacquer. This creates a light, natural look that allows the wood’s true character to shine through. Good to know: these chairs can be customised in hundreds of ways. We offer a wide range of fabrics, each with its own unique colour palette. Curious? Have a look at our fabric samples and find your perfect match.
