Basic dining tables
What does Basic actually stand for? In our workshop in Heeze, we’re constantly looking for new designs, materials and ways to make our furniture even better and more beautiful. This has resulted in a new material that we use for our Basic dining tables. These tables are made of a HDF plate with a top layer of our very best oak. This oak can be considered the very best because we specially select pieces of refined oak. Refined oak is as sleek as can be, as there are no knots or cracks.

Oval shape
You may already think of the classic oval shape when you’re thinking of bringing the Gap into your home. Makes sense! Oval is and remains popular and that’s not without reason! Frame | Mads
When buying your new dining table, you may focus solely on the tabletop, but the frame is also very important. Good news: we also make all the frames ourselves. The Mads frame has a classic look with a special touch. The intersection of the X-shape is placed above just the centre point, creating a distinct effect. Is the Mads just not for you? We custom-make your frame with our own hands in our own workshop! Plastic caps are attached to the bottom of the frame to protect the floor. Tip: we also sell separate frames.

Custom work from our own workshop
With the Basic line, you have a number of options to choose from as you’re composing your dining table. In the furniture industry, you often come across terms such as handmade, customisation, and homemade. At Table du Sud we’re proud to say that we really make the tables from scratch by ourselves. In fact, our workshop is adjacent to the showroom in Heeze, which means you just might see the craftsmen making tables in the background while you walk around the showroom! Want to know more? If we take a closer look at the Basic 10x4, you’ll see that there’s a lot to choose from in terms of customisation. Consider the shape, but also take a look at the dimensions of your table. The maximum length of the table is 240 cm with a width of 120 cm. In addition, you can choose between ultra matt lacquer, which preserves the typical wood look, or Black Smoke Intense, meaning black. As icing on the cake, we coat the table with a protective layer that ensures protection against circles and stains for 10 years. So: maintenance-free! Tip: we also sell suitable maintenance products for each material.
