From organic coffee table to asymmetrical dining table
Do you think rectangular and/or round dining tables are outdated? Would you like to take a leap of faith and go for something completely different? Then you might just be at the right place! In this blog we tell you everything about our organic furniture.
What is it? What should I pay attention to if I want to buy a piece? And what is there to choose from? You’ll find the answers to these and a number of other questions right here!
What is an organic shape?
Of course, we’re all familiar with rectangular, round, and oval tables. When we talk about organic shapes, we mean the polar opposite of these age-old shapes. Organic shapes are natural shapes used for our tabletops. Think of a waterdrop, or the stones taken from a river. These shapes are natural and unique–what we call organic!
Organic customisation? Why not!
Natural shapes have become a part of our range. For example, take a look at our pebble-shaped dining table. We think this shape lends itself perfectly as the basis for a beautiful dining table. Of course, here at Table du Sud you also have a say when it comes to the finish. For instance, you get to choose where you want the tabletop’s narrow side positioned. In addition, you’re in charge of the colour, finish, and size of the tabletop as well.
Did you know that we can also make pebble-shaped coffee tables for you? You determine the specifications of your purchase here, too. We make this furniture in our own workshop in Heeze, Brabant, where we have all the freedom to experiment with new organic forms.
Useful tips
You compose your pebble-shaped table with the help of our 3D configurator. Determining the right sizes can be a bit more difficult, as you’re dealing with a different shape. Use a tape measure in your home to try and see what the ideal size of your new acquisition would be. This way you get closer and closer to your perfect size.
In addition, it’s smart to consider the lighting. Does your dining table or coffee table catch a lot of light? Then the odds are there that a dark colour will suddenly appear a lot lighter. Finally, it’s good to know that our experts are ready for you in our showrooms in Utrecht, Heeze, Rotterdam, and Deventer.
Organic sofas
Bottom line: organic shapes deviate from the more familiar shapes. In some cases this also applies to our sofas. Nevertheless, our sofas are available in many different compositions, ranging from compact 2-seaters to U-shaped sofas, and more. Discover the designs of our sofas and who knows; you might just kill several birds with one stone. For example, think of the beautiful combination of a sofa and an organic coffee table!
