A marble dining table symbolises class, luxury, and a pinch of history. Marble has been a regular customer in our households for centuries and that isn’t gonna change anytime soon. At Table du Sud, we work with high-quality Italian marble with which we’re able to realise the most beautiful tabletops for you in our own workshop. We have collected all relevant information about our marble tables for you on this page.
Types of marble tables
When you start looking for a new table, you often already have the shape in your head. Of course, it’s also possible that you haven’t arrived at a decision yet and that you’d like to be inspired. It's good to know that we have different flavours in store for you. Below, you’ll find the available shapes.
Rectangular marble dining table
One of the classic shapes is the rectangle. You can accommodate a lot of people at a rectangular table, and it offers you the opportunity to be straightforward with your space. Of course, you can adjust the tabletops to your liking in terms of size.
Round marble dining table
The round shape is and remains a winner in the world of dining tables. The advantage of a round table is that you can always look at each other, which in turn creates a cosy atmosphere. In addition, a round dining table is also suitable for relatively small spaces. Tip: read our blog about the number of chairs at the table to determine the perfect size of your new acquisition.
Oval marble dining table
At Table du Sud, we’re a fan of the oval shapes. Oval offers you a great opportunity to create many seats without hard lines. Did you know that we have now developed four shapes that are characterised as oval? Of course, classic oval is one of these. In addition, we developed Danish oval in Heeze, which immediately became a success, and semi-oval and semi-circle are also fun shapes to consider. Want to know more? Read the blog about the 4 oval shapes and make your choice.
Square marble dining table
Maybe not the shape you immediately think of when you imagine your new marble acquisition, but it’s definitely among the options at Table du Sud. A square marble table would certainly not be out of place in the somewhat smaller dining rooms or kitchens!
The advantage of having our own workshop in Heeze is that we have all the freedom to make the most beautiful furniture for you. We don’t solely make our own tabletops; we also build our own frames. You can combine almost all frames with a tabletop, resulting in all kinds of different tables–all worth having. When you think of a solid steel frame, you may immediately think of the typical steel look, but did you know we can also spray the frames in other colours for you? Choose from white, black, or gold and let your new table match your taste and the rest of your interior.
Different colours of marble
Classic marble: there’s a good chance you immediately think of the colour white. Our Bianco Carrara marble from Italy fits exactly that image in that regard. But did you know that we also have other marble colours in store for you? Nero Marquina leans more towards black, while Greystone is the golden mean. When composing your new table, you’ll see the colours pass by so you can make the right choice. You’re of course very welcome in our showrooms to see the marble with your own eyes. Fire your questions at our experienced showroom employees and discover which colour suits you best.
