Which style fits me best: Industrial
Tough tabletops, steel frames, and more!
A style that we currently see a lot in Dutch interiors. This is usually characterised by its simplicity, as well as the use of robust, sometimes rough materials such as steel and raw wood. Many will think of the combination of brick, metal, grey, and concrete, but the industrial style can also be applied a lot more subtly!
For instance, you can choose specific colours or furniture. At Table du Sud we have an extensive range of industrial tables, but what sets our industrial tables apart from the rest?
The tabletops
Firstly, all our industrial tabletops are traditionally made from lived or "new" oak. A lived top has a tough, authentic look with a slightly rougher appearance. The knots and cracks are not filled and the top is given a special brush treatment. This brush effect gives the whole just a little more detail that's characteristic of the industrial style. If you like a different type of finish better, then that's no problem either. We can adjust your industrial table completely to your personal wishes!
Fine craftsmanship
Once you have made your choice for the top, you can also choose the frame yourself. The options for the frame depend on the shape and size of your top, so keep try to take that into account. We make the tabletop frames from stainless steel or steel, where the original welds are still visible. This provides an extra rugged look to your industrial table!
Recommendations
Currently, our favourites are the XX-, U-, Gap and Felix frames. For the finish of the frames, you can choose between a powder coat in white, black, or the steel look. If you do go for the industrial look, we can definitely recommend the latter! Looking for a more natural look? Then go for an oak frame. Want a real eye-catcher? Take a look at the gold-coloured frames.
Each frame is custom made in our own workshop. In addition, plastic is attached to the bottom of the legs of the metal frame to protect your floor.
In your interior
An industrial interior has a dominant character and so does the dining table. The industrial dining table is often not a small table to just have a quick breakfast at. It is is the centre of the (dining) room and comes with a suitable appearance to take on this role. Such a table, for example, looks great on a concrete floor, with matching chairs. For an industrial combination, it's nice to choose a leather chair with a steel leg for a nice contrast. An example of this is the Mood #95 PM06 in Africa leather. But every interior is different and different combinations are possible at Table du Sud! You can customise your choice to your wishes and create your own style. Perhaps with an industrial touch!
