About Kim

Kim works as a customs declarant and lives with her family in Dordrecht. During the process of building their new home, she discovered her passion for interiors. She became the creative force behind this warm and considered space. With her Indonesian roots, a true living kitchen is essential to her. This is why the kitchen was placed at the centre of the home.

Kim describes her style as Japandi chic. Calm, natural tones and materials define the interior. We take a closer look at the Table du Sud pieces throughout her home.

Which pieces has Theo-Bert chosen for his interior?

Kim enjoys cooking and spending time with friends and family. A home that feels cohesive plays an important role in that. By rethinking the layout of the house, a number of thoughtful solutions were needed, something Kim approached with clarity and creativity.

Pebble-shaped dining table

For the dining area, Kim chose a pebble-shaped dining table. Thanks to its organic form and central Ludovic base, it is both practical and versatile. There is always room to add an extra seat, such as a pouffe. The soft, rounded lines create a calm atmosphere and make the dining area feel more spacious.

Dining chairs

The dining chairs are upholstered in a fabric that is suitable for both children and pets, an important consideration for Kim when selecting materials. Alongside a custom-made dining bench, she chose three Table du Sud dining chairs. The swivel function makes getting in and out effortless.

Bar stools

For the kitchen island, Kim opted for bar stools in the same style as the dining chairs. This creates a sense of cohesion throughout the space. Adding bar stools to the kitchen makes the space more inviting. Ideal for conversation while cooking or for a relaxed breakfast.

The living room is where Kim and her family gather when friends come over. “With a glass of red wine and something to share,” as she describes it.

Coffee table

To continue the Japandi chic style throughout the home, the coffee table mirrors the shape and colour of the dining table, pebble shape finished in ultra matt lacquer. The slightly elevated base allows more daylight to flow through the space. Kim styled the table with a vase and a selection of accessories.

Sofa

The Melle sofa completes the living room. Its low profile creates a balanced contrast with the higher coffee table. Loose cushions add a relaxed feel, while the soft, rounded shapes invite you to settle in and unwind.
