At home with
Jurjen & André:
the before

After ten years of living in Jordaan district, it was time for a change. The search took more than a year, but finally the moment has arrived: Jurjen and André are getting the keys to their new dream home in Amsterdam.

With the keys in hand, the next adventure begins straight away. Turning a blank canvas into a stylish interior that feels just right. Jurjen and André take you through the entire process as they search for the perfect atmosphere, colours and furniture.

The story of Jurjen & André

More space, more rooms and, above all, plenty of natural light. In their new home, Jurjen and André found exactly what they were looking for. The foundations are there, but for now the rooms are still empty and bare. Time to change that.

There’s certainly no shortage of ideas. This creative duo knows exactly what they like and aren’t afraid to make bold choices.

More is more! Different textures, bold colours and dark wood form the basis of their interior style. Maximalism, warm and with a daring choice here and there. This isn’t an interior where everything has to play by the rules, but a home full of character and unexpected combinations.

Dining room wish list

“We absolutely love having friends over for dinner, and of course that calls for a large table with beautiful chairs,” says André.

The dining room should become a place where you’ll want to stay seated for hours. For now, the space is mainly filled with plans and ideas, but that’s about to change...

Living room wish list

The living room should above all invite you to sink into the sofa for a relaxed film night. A large, comfortable lounge sofa is therefore high on the wish list. And of course, their bold interior style will make its way into this room too. Distinctive combinations, rich textures and expressive colours also feature in the moodboards for this space.

The plan is ready. Now it’s time to get started!
