At home with interieurvanmies

Michelle is the face behind ‘interieurvanmies’, her interior brand and studio based in Haarlem. What is lovely to know is that interieurvanmies is built around one clear aim: helping people feel truly at home in their own house. Whether it is a full renovation or a newly built home, the starting point is always the same, creating a space that feels right. By now, Michelle has designed more than 500 homes.

We are proud that interieurvanmies is a fan of our collection, and that Michelle has chosen Table du Sud furniture for her own home too. As an interiors expert, she previously selected one of our marble tables. Today, a beautifully crafted oak table takes centre stage in her dining room.

And because the appreciation goes both ways, Michelle was also one of the three professional jury members for our 2025 Design Contest, held in honour of our 10-year anniversary.

Michelle believes an interior should not only look beautiful, but also work with everyday life. That applies to the interiors she creates for her clients, and just as much to her own home. For her dining room, she was looking for a set that suited her style while remaining practical for family life.

For her dining table, Michelle chose a design from the Table du Sud x Anne Claus Interiors collaboration. The table is defined by clean, straight lines. To bring in a softer contrast, Michelle chose a rounded tabletop with a curved edge finish.

The Toro dining chair with armrests completes the dining set. Its slender, airy design gives the dining area a calm feel, while offering comfortable seating. The frame can also be matched to the wood colour of the dining table, allowing table and chairs to form a considered whole. You can choose the fabric and colour of the seat yourself too, so the set works naturally within your interior.
