Shape
The rectangular garden table is and remains a classic in our gardens. This shape simply brings many advantages, and that’s not gonna change in the coming years. Are you planning to place the garden chairs on the long sides, or are you also considering placing two on the head sides? Then pay close attention to the length of your table and the position of the frame. This prevents people from coming into contact with the frame when they take a seat. Material
We make the accompanying tabletop from iroko wood. This name may not immediately ring a bell, but take it from us that it’s very nice for furniture. Iroko is an African hardwood species that’s perfect for making garden furniture. For example, iroko is very stable, strong, and durable. In short, ideal wood for garden pieces. We would like to mention that the typical Dutch climate poses a threat to any material. For example, it isn’t a good idea to leave your garden table outside unprotected for 12 months a year. PLEASE NOTE: iroko wood will turn slightly grey over time. This gives the whole a characteristic appearance.


Frame
The Felix frame somewhat differs from the default 4-legged frames you see. The elongated U-shape provides the table with a stable foundation, with an added and relatively short crossbeam in the middle to provide extra stability. The advantage of this frame is that you won’t suffer from a lack of legroom on the long sides.


Custom made in our own workshop
We make the garden tables in our own workshop in Heeze in Brabant, not far from the place where the first Table du Sud table was once made. This gives you a lot of freedom when assembling your furniture. For example, the Felix is available in lengths of 300, 270 and 240 cm.
