Shape
Shape
The rectangular dining table has been popular for years – and for good reason. Its straight shape makes it easy to divide: games on one side, dinner on the other. Having guests over? Everyone can join in with ease!
- Timeless and beloved design
- Easy to divide into functional zones
- Ideal for both large and small groups
- Practical and sociable

The standard oval table is a true classic – stylish and versatile. You can decide how slim or rounded the shape should be. Just keep in mind that narrower versions offer a bit less legroom at the ends. Oval tables are also great for conversation and more practical in spaces with limited walkways.
- Classic, timeless shape
- Choose your own curve
- Ideal for table conversations
- Space-saving in tighter walkways

The pebble shape is a playful, organic form that stands out with its natural appearance. Think of shapes like drops or clouds. This table resembles a rounded triangle and is available in two versions: type A and type B.
- Unique organic shape
- Natural and playful design
- Resembles a rounded triangle
- Choice of type A or B

A round table is ideal for smaller spaces, perfect for softening straight lines and adding a touch of extra coziness. We custom-make your tabletop – not a standard model, but crafted just for you. Not sure about the right size? Use our handy sizing template!
- Perfect for compact spaces
- Breaks up rigid lines in your interior
- Extra cozy for social dining
- Fully custom-made

The Danish oval table is widest at the center, just like a standard oval table. The difference lies in the ends: 20 cm from the edge, the table is 40 cm narrower, creating a flattened, almost rectangular shape. This adds an elegant look – and space for an extra chair!
- Unique Danish oval design
- Slimmer ends
- Extra seating at the head of the table
- Compact and stylish

A table that appears rectangular at first glance but surprises up close: that’s the half oval dining table. This shape – one of our 4 oval shapes – is defined by a subtle curve along the long side. Add a radius to the corners for an elegant finishing touch.
- Surprising, subtly oval shape
- Looks rectangular, feels organic
- Soft curve along the long side
- Option for rounded corners (radius)
- One of our 4 unique oval shapes

Technically speaking, the half circle is an oval shape, but it’s the furthest removed from the traditional oval. The short ends feature half circles, while the long sides are completely straight. This unique design blends clean lines with soft curves – perfect for a standout dining table!
- Unique half-circle tabletop
- Clean and curved lines in one design
- Eye-catching and playful style
- Compatible with various table bases
- Ideal for those seeking something special

The style of Studio Verbaan is defined by simplicity and a distinctive use of lines – exactly the elements reflected in this semi-oval dining table. The design is the result of a creative collaboration, inspired by iconic Studio Verbaan objects.

This semi-round, droplet-shaped dining table was created in collaboration with Studio Verbaan. The table exudes calm and balance, with a naturally flowing shape that strongly reflects Studio Verbaan’s signature linework.

- Open, conical central base
- Soft curves with modern refinement

We’re seeing more and more customers embracing bold and unique table shapes. While round and rectangular tables remain popular, the demand for organic designs is on the rise. - 100% organic design with no straight edges
- Ideal for a soft, flowing appearance
- A unique eye-catcher in your interior
- Launched in 2023 due to growing demand
- Perfect for those who truly want something different

Totally on-trend: organic shapes are rapidly gaining popularity as the foundation for furniture. At Table du Sud, we’re responding to this by continuously expanding our collection. Since mid-2023, we’ve introduced the Dollop shape – an organic tabletop inspired by natural elements like water droplets and clouds.

- Trendy eye-catcher for any interior

In 2024, we added the organic Leaf shape to our collection – a great choice if you’re looking for a playful tabletop with no sharp corners. Choose between two versions – A or B – and decide where the curves should go.

- No loss of space or seating
- Eye-catching and practical at the same time

Material
Working with oak is and always will be our passion. It's strong, timeless, and perfect for creating furniture with character. At Table du Sud, you can choose from three types of oak, each with its own unique look. Prefer a clean and modern style? Go for refined oak, with minimal knots and cracks. Looking for a more rustic, natural feel? Then lived oak is the one for you. Or opt for new oak – the perfect middle ground: knots are filled in, but the wood grain remains visible. Want to know more? Check out our oak wood page.
- Choice of 3 oak wood types
- Refined oak: clean and calm
- Lived oak: rustic and natural
- New oak: subtle character with filled knots
- Fully custom-made with love and care

You might not immediately think of ceramic when it comes to dining tables, but this material is incredibly popular – and for good reason. Ceramic is made from clay that’s compressed under high pressure and baked at extreme temperatures. The result? A lightweight, ultra-strong surface that can take a beating.
A hot pan or an ice-cold wine cooler? No problem! Ceramic is scratch-resistant, heat- and frost-resistant, UV-proof, and easy to maintain.
- Ultra-strong and lightweight material
- Resistant to heat, cold, and UV rays
- Scratch- and chemical-resistant
- Low-maintenance and hygienic
- Made from natural material: clay

Innovation plays a major role in interior design – and that includes tabletops. In 2013, Fenix was developed: a revolutionary material that responds to the trends of smart materials and ultra-matte finishes. It consists of over 60% paper, combined with thermosetting resins and a nano-tech coating. Thanks to a unique electron beam curing process, the surface becomes super matte, non-reflective, and fingerprint-resistant.
Minor scratches? You can even thermally repair them. It’s no surprise that we’ve included Fenix in our collection. Curious? Read more about Fenix.
- Ultra-matte and fingerprint-resistant surface
- Scratches can be thermally repaired
- Made from paper & resin: durable and strong
- Non-reflective and colorfast
- Innovative material with a premium look

Our walnut dining tables are finished smooth as standard, giving them a warm, luxurious look. A transparent, scratch-resistant lacquer preserves the natural color of the wood and protects the surface against stains and rings.
The tabletop is 4 cm thick and can be given extra character with an edge finish, such as a modern bevel. Please note: walnut is slightly more sensitive than oak when it comes to sunlight and scratches, but thanks to its higher density, it’s more stable and less prone to shrinking or expanding.
- Smooth finish for a luxurious look
- Transparent lacquer protects against stains and rings
- 4 cm thick top with optional edge finish
- Warm tone and unique wood grain
- Less movement than oak thanks to higher density

Concrete is bold, robust, and perfect for an industrial interior. That’s why we’ve taken a smart approach to our concrete dining tables: the top consists of a 4 cm thick wood fiber core with a thin concrete layer on top. This way, you get the concrete look without the weight and fragility of solid concrete.
An invisible protective coating makes the surface less porous and much more user-friendly. You get the raw character of concrete with the convenience of a practical tabletop.
- Authentic concrete look with less weight
- Less porous than solid concrete
- Treated with protective lacquer against stains
- Bold look, easy to maintain
- Perfect for industrial-style interiors

Take advantage of a price reduction on our entire Iroko collection – while supplies last!

- Stable and shape-retaining, even with temperature changes
- Ideal for stylish garden furniture

Fenix options
This is Fenix in its purest form: 12 mm solid Fenix in the color Nero Ingo. This popular variant has been part of our collection for quite some time. Thanks to its combination of clean lines and an ultra-matte finish, it’s a favorite among lovers of minimalist design.

This is the newest addition to the Fenix family: Fenix Unicolor. Developed to offer our customers even more choice, this variant features a Fenix top layer on a black HDF core with a fixed thickness of 40 mm. The 60-degree beveled edge and color-matched sides create a sleek, uniform look – hence the name Unicolor.
Fenix Unicolor is available in no fewer than 16 colors, allowing you to fully tailor your table to your personal style.

These tabletops are 40 mm thick and available in 16 colors – perfect for anyone who loves a natural touch combined with modern materials.

Table top finish
Want a sleek tabletop with the charm of real wood? Then new oak is the perfect choice. This oak contains knots that we carefully fill – in the color of the wood – for a smooth and calm appearance. You get the character of oak without rough spots or deep cracks.
New oak generally doesn’t contain cracks, though small hairline ones may occur. As we work with a natural material, each plank is unique in structure and appearance.
- Sleek top with a natural wood look
- Knots are neatly filled
- No cracks, only minor hairline ones possible
- Each plank has a unique grain
- Smooth finish and pleasant to use

Are you a fan of an authentic, rustic, or classic style? Then lived oak is the perfect choice. With this wood type, we preserve as much of the original character as possible – knots and cracks remain visible for a natural and distinctive look. Of course, the edges and corners are carefully finished.
With lived oak MIN, we limit the size of knots and cracks, while regular lived oak also shows larger natural features. As a rule, we don’t fill anything unless a sharp edge would affect usability.
- Authentic and natural appearance
- Knots and cracks remain visible
- Choice of lived oak or lived oak MIN
- Character-rich top with rustic charm
- Only essential filling where sharp edges occur

For refined oak, we select only the finest planks – with as few knots and cracks as possible. Not every plank qualifies, ensuring a sleek and elegant tabletop. Since we work with a natural material, tiny knots may still appear. The maximum top thickness is 4 cm.
Choosing refined oak means choosing calmness, symmetry, and a modern touch for your interior.
- Only carefully selected, calm planks
- Minimal knots and cracks
- Max. top thickness of 4 cm
- Perfect for a sleek, modern interior
- Natural material with a refined look

This might be the most distinctive edge finish in our collection. With this facet edge, the tabletop first drops 12 mm straight down before tapering inward at a 60-degree angle. As a result, the top appears wider than the bottom – a refined detail with a modern twist.
- Unique 60° facet edge for a luxurious look
- Visually slimmer while maintaining strength
- Tabletop appears more delicate underneath
- Subtle design accent for modern interiors
- Perfect match with various tabletop shapes

This subtle edge finish gives your table just that little extra, without being too bold. The edge slopes inward at a 20-degree angle, making the top appear slightly larger than the bottom. Unlike the 60° facet edge, this version has no straight section at the top – the slope begins immediately.
- Refined 20° bevel for subtle elegance
- No straight section: smooth angled transition
- Tabletop appears slimmer underneath
- Perfect for a minimalist or modern look
- Modest yet stylish detail

It might sound dramatic, but it’s quite simple: Inversed just means 'reversed'. With this edge finish, the edge slopes outward at a 20-degree angle, making the underside of the tabletop appear wider than the top. It gives your table a sturdy, bold look with a playful twist.
- Reversed 20° bevel for a unique profile
- Underside appears wider than the top
- Bold look with a playful edge
- Perfect for those who want something different
- Compatible with various materials and styles

The rounded edge finish is perfect for those who prefer to avoid sharp lines and hard angles. The edges are subtly curved, giving the table a softer, more relaxed appearance. Ideal for organic or playful interior styles.
- Soft, rounded edges
- No sharp corners or hard lines
- Relaxed and friendly look
- Perfect for organic tabletop shapes
- Comfortable to use and child-friendly

The live edge is perfect for those who love a natural, organic look. This edge finish features flowing curves that give the tabletop a raw, tree trunk-like appearance. Note: the short ends remain straight for practical use.
Tip: pair this edge with lived oak for an extra rustic and character-rich look – complete with visible knots and small cracks.
- Natural curves for a live edge look
- Unique, handcrafted appearance
- Straight ends for practical functionality
- Pairs beautifully with lived oak
- Adds extra character and warmth to your table

The Boog edge finish stands out with its elegant, flowing curve. The rounded shape tapers gracefully from top to bottom, giving the tabletop a slimmer profile. This finish blends refinement with softness, making it ideal for modern and minimalist interiors.
- Curved, tapered edge
- Slim and elegant appearance
- No harsh transitions
- Perfect for contemporary designs
- Comfortable and stylish

Corner finish
Choosing no radius means going for sharp, straight corners. This creates a strong, classic look with clean lines and timeless appeal.
- Straight corners without rounding
- Bold and classic look
- Perfect for modern and minimalist interiors
- Timeless design without extra detailing
- Suitable for various tabletop shapes and styles

A 35 mm radius gives your table corners a subtle curve. This gentle edge adds a touch of softness without compromising the clean design.
- Subtle 35 mm corner rounding
- Balance between sleek and soft
- Comfortable to use and child-friendly
- Soft detail without standing out

A 100 mm radius creates noticeably rounded corners. This larger curve gives the table a softer, more organic look and increases everyday comfort.
- Generous 100 mm corner rounding
- Soft and approachable design
- Comfortable and safe, even for kids
- Playful and friendly appearance

Brushing
When you choose unbrushed oak, the original top layer of the wood remains fully intact. This results in a smoother surface and a more even color distribution after finishing. The outcome is a clean and modern tabletop without additional grain texture.
- Smooth finish with a calm appearance
- More even color tone with oil or lacquer
- No visible grain depth
- Slightly more sensitive to scratches and signs of use
Unbrushed wood is perfect for those who prefer a sleek, minimalist look without visible wood texture on the surface.

Brushing wood is not a standard procedure at Table du Sud, but a conscious choice. When you opt for this finish, we use a state-of-the-art brushing machine to remove the ultra-thin top layer of the wood. This brings out the grain more visibly and creates a unique, natural wood pattern.
The result is a tabletop with a matte, natural look and a slightly rougher surface – which also makes it less prone to scratches.
- Grain pattern becomes more pronounced
- Less sensitive to scratches due to subtle texture
- Matte, natural appearance
- Processed with a professional 140 cm wide brushing machine
Note: small knots may open slightly and color absorption can vary, as brushed wood takes pigment differently than unbrushed wood.
