Choose from a range of tabletops, materials, shapes, colours, finishes and bases. Your dining table is then crafted in our workshop in the Netherlands. The result is not a standard table, but a designer dining table made to suit your home and everyday life.

A dining table should look beautiful, but it also needs to withstand everyday life. That’s why the quality of a Table du Sud dining table lies not only in the design, but also in the choice of materials, construction and finishing.

The quality of our dining table materials

The quality of your dining table begins with the material. At Table du Sud, you can choose from a variety of materials, including oak, walnut, ceramic, concrete and Fenix. There are also several options for the base, such as wood or steel in a range of colours. Each material has its own character, properties and maintenance requirements.

For our wooden tables, the process begins with the careful selection of each plank. We work with timber sourced from Europe and manually inspect our tabletops at multiple stages throughout production. Only once a tabletop has been thoroughly checked and approved is it prepared for delivery. This allows us to maintain control over the quality of every table leaving our workshop.

Finished down to the finest detail

The finish influences how your dining table looks, feels and performs in everyday use. In our own workshop, every tabletop is finished with care. We work with tabletops that are at least 4 cm thick and use a V-shaped steel support underneath the top to minimise the natural movement of the wood and help prevent warping as much as possible.

Attention is also given to the visible details. This includes the colour of the tabletop, the edge finish, the surface treatment and the coating of the base. For example, a nano coating is applied to help protect the tabletop against stains and signs of everyday use. You can then choose the finish that suits your style, whether that is new oak, lived-in oak or refined oak.
