1. Made to order tables from our own workshop
Every space asks for a different table. Whether you are looking for a dining table, coffee table, bar table or side table, each design is made around the way you live. From proportions and materials to the final finish, every detail is considered in relation to your interior.
All tables are crafted in our own workshop in the Netherlands. This allows us to oversee every stage of production ourselves, and we only begin crafting once your order is fully finalised.
Our furniture store in Heeze is directly connected to the workshop, so you are always welcome to take a look behind the scenes during your visit.
Which table suits your space?
From first idea to finished table. These are the steps that shape your design:
Our speciality is working with solid oak. It’s the material Table du Sud was founded on and remains at the heart of what we do. We source our oak from trusted suppliers across Europe, selected for the quality and consistency of their timber.
Alongside oak, there are several other materials available for your table. We’ve listed them below:
- Oak: timeless, durable and dependable
- Walnut: rich tones with a warm, refined character
- Concrete look: robust and architectural, with more depth than classic grey tones
- Fenix: an innovative material available in an extensive colour palette
- Ceramic: highly practical for both indoor and outdoor use

Frequently asked questions about our made to order furniture
Where are your made to order dining tables made?
Our dining tables are crafted by our own skilled makers in Heeze. In the modern workshop next to our furniture store, a wide variety of furniture is made every day. We do not keep stock and only begin production once an order has been placed. This is because virtually every table we make is unique.
What is the lead time for made to order furniture?
Our lead times are adjusted according to demand. In most cases, the lead time is under 10 weeks.
Can I customise colours and finishes to suit my interior?
Can I view or order fabric and colour samples?
Yes. You can order samples to view at home or visit one of our furniture stores to see them in person. All samples are available in-store.
How does the delivery process work for made to order furniture?
We take care of your furniture from start to finish. We have our own delivery service and delivery team, so you are never dependent on a third-party company.
Which table shape is best suited to my space?
This depends on both your space and your personal preferences. For more compact rooms, a round table can be an excellent option. We offer more than 10 table shapes to choose from, all of which you can explore in our 3D configurator.
How many people can sit at a table of a particular size?
Our specialists are happy to advise you on this in our furniture stores. You can also find blogs on our inspiration page covering the most popular table shapes and the dimensions suitable for 4, 6 and 8 people.
Which type of wood do you recommend for dining tables?
Working with solid oak is our passion. We create tabletops that are 4 or 5 cm thick, offering durability and reliability for years to come. We also have great confidence in walnut, a wood species that brings warmth and character thanks to its distinctive colour.
How does the base affect comfort and seating space?
Every table base can influence legroom in certain seating positions, so it is worth considering this when making your choice. We design and manufacture our own steel bases, while many of our oak and walnut tables are also available with matching oak or walnut bases.
How do I care for my made-to-order dining table?
In most cases, wiping your table with a damp cloth is enough to keep it clean on a daily basis. We also offer care products suitable for all of our materials.
How do I create my own modular sofa?
We understand that this can be challenging. That’s why we have developed dedicated 3D configurators, allowing you to explore the possibilities at your own pace from home. Our experienced specialists are also available in our furniture stores to help you create the right configuration.
Can I expand my modular sofa later?
Yes. Many of our sofas are made up of a variety of individual elements and configurations. In many cases, your sofa can be extended later, provided the elements are compatible.
Which fabric is suitable for children, pets or intensive use?
The fabrics in our Table’s Choice collection have a high Martindale score. This indicates excellent resistance to wear and intensive use, making them well suited to households with children and/or pets.
Do I need an appointment for advice, or can I simply visit?
You are always welcome to visit without an appointment. Booking is not required to visit one of our furniture stores. If you would like to ensure that we can dedicate plenty of time to you, particularly at weekends, you may wish to book a free product consultation or interior consultation.
