Design

The defining feature of this dining table is undoubtedly its base. It starts with a symmetrical cross at floor level, while the central support curves gently inwards towards the centre of the tabletop. This sculptural detail gives Zizou its distinctive character. Choosing a slightly smaller dining table for four or five people? Tabletop material | Ceramic

Just as with our solid oak tabletops, material quality is central to our ceramic collection. Our ceramic comes from Marazzi, an Italian manufacturer based in Sassuolo that has been producing ceramics since 1935. This allows us to offer carefully made ceramic tabletops in a wide range of colours. Ceramic is a practical alternative to marble. It can offer a similarly refined appearance while being particularly suited to everyday use. The material is resistant to scratches and heat, making it a considered choice for a dining table that is used day after day. There are also several options when it comes to the finish. Choose from a broad palette of colours and select either a standard edge or a more refined edge that angles inwards beneath the tabletop. Unsure about the material or colour? Base material | Oak

For the Zizou base, we use the same carefully selected oak as we do for our tabletops. Oak is strong and, with the right care, made to last for years. Our extensive range of oak finishes also gives you plenty of freedom to find a combination that works with your chosen ceramic tabletop. It is this meeting of materials that gives this version of Zizou its character: the natural warmth and grain of oak balanced by the refined surface of ceramic.

Colour

Finding the right combination of colours is an important part of making Zizou your own. Both the oak base and ceramic tabletop are available in a considered selection of shades. Create contrast between the two materials, or choose tones that sit quietly alongside one another. Either way, you can tailor the combination to your taste and the wider palette of your interior.

Care
