Sales & Interior stylist
Tough, robust and edgy.
Industrial living is the atmosphere of a New York loft. It's tough, robust and edgy. In an industrial interior, coarse materials are used.
Metal, concrete, brick and construction details that should stand out. Statement pieces with a calm base.

Materials & colours
The industrial style is very hip at the moment. It is a style that you can really give your own twist because it uses both straight and rounded lines. What you see a lot are the industrial wooden tables with a somewhat thicker top. A nice combination is, for example, the Mozy or XX base, because both have a somewhat coarser leg with a sturdy steel look. A chair with a leather look or a grey/green tint completes the picture.
Metal and steel is all around in industrial interiors, including dining tables, in cupboards and side tables. In some houses there are already industrial elements such as a raw wall. Other interiors need just a little more decorative items to get into the right vibe. In terms of colours, we see many monochrome colours in the industrial style, white, gray (concrete), black as a base with rust (leather) and cool green accents. The green is also seen in the plants that are used as decoration with which you create an urban jungle effect.
As many open spaces as possible, just like in the factories on which the industrial style is based, form the basis. Furthermore, this style is very laid back and you can easily adapt it to your own taste.
In terms of styling, the industrial style mainly uses coarser items. As mentioned earlier, tables are used with thick tops and robust steel legs, but also think of robust wall shelves, big sofas and industrial chairs. These larger furniture can then have quite a bit of space, so that they come into their own.
Style the room with vintage items from old factories to give it an extra industrial touch.
