Visiting the furniture store? Be well prepared!
Visiting one of our showrooms brings many advantages. You see different dining tables, sofas, and chairs in real life and you can really feel the materials. In addition, our employees are ready to provide you with appropriate advice.
Of course, you can just walk in to take a look. Do you want to use your showroom visit as efficiently as possible? Then prepare well. In this blog we’ll show you how to do that.
Measuring is knowing
You might have heard your father say it in the past: to measure is to know! A real cliche, but as with most cliches, it’s absolutely true. Measuring your dining or living room in advance allows you to tie knots more easily. The dimensions offer a good starting point in your search for new furniture. With the right measurements, choosing a suitable piece of furniture is a piece of cake and more importantly: this way you won’t be faced with unexpected surprises after delivery!
Take pictures of your house
A picture is worth a thousand words (ok, ok, enough with those cliches!). But in the case of visiting our showroom, there’s a kernel of truth in this, too. Our employees can be of much bigger help if they have an idea of your current living or dining room. For example, are you planning to match your new sofa to the colours of your wall? Or are your kitchen and new dining table relatively close to each other? Then taking pictures will significantly increase your chance of success. It will only cost you a little effort and you’ll benefit immensely!
Choosing a colour? Be mindful of the light
The incidence of light does a lot to colour. An apparently dark grey sofa can suddenly appear much lighter in a living room where sunlight has free rein. It also works the other way around, of course. A side table can suddenly have a dark appearance in a moderately lit hallway, which you might not expect at first. So try to carefully map where the windows are and where you want to put your new furniture.
Don't forget the other furniture
In the showroom you focus completely on the purchase of your piece of new furniture. That’s only logical. But don't forget to think about your other furniture as well. Especially when choosing a material and/or colour it’s important that a solid match is created, so your living or dining room forms a beautiful whole!
Colour samples, cutting patterns and the materials chart
Would you like to take a look at what we have in store for you from the comfort of your own home? You absolutely can! We have developed special colour samples, cutting patterns and a materials chart you can use before your visit to the showroom.
