Table du Sud wine: Charme Boisé

Origin

Charme Boisé originates from Limoux. This town and its surrounding wine region are located in the south of France, just below the popular tourist destination Carcassonne, at the foothills of the Pyrenees. What makes this wine special is that the grapes are harvested by hand, ensuring that only the finest grapes are selected for the winemaking process.

The grape itself is a beautiful, full-bodied and slightly richer Chardonnay, also harvested by hand. This creates a fitting parallel with Table du Sud, as our tables are crafted by hand as well. And that is not all: the wine is fully aged on oak for a period of 8 to 10 months, coincidentally, the very material we love to work with.

Taste and appearance

The aging in oak barrels is clearly reflected in the wine’s flavor. As soon as you pour the wine, its golden-yellow color immediately stands out. Do you have a keen sense of smell? You will undoubtedly notice pronounced aromas of apricot, white peach, and grapefruit. True connoisseurs may also detect subtle notes of honey, vanilla, and a mineral undertone.

On the first sip, the wine is fresh and immediately well balanced, with a pleasant roundness and a refined, subtle oak influence that does not overpower.
