Go for garden set Tuur and you get one of the most special sets we can make. This set is ideal for large families and/or households that involve a lot of garden quality time. The set consists of the largest table and comes with 8 garden chairs. PLEASE NOTE: We recommend always placing this set under a canopy or shelter.

Shape

Garden furniture is ideal for all lovers of straight lines and straight angles. In fact, there isn’t a curve to be found in the entire set. The rectangular tabletop has a length of 3 meters and also happens to be the largest variant we can make for you. Tip: we also sell this table with a length of 240 and 270 cm. The tabletop consists of a framework with short crossbars in between. Tip: also check out our other garden tables and garden chairs for inspiration.

The chairs that belong to this set are very robust and have a slightly tilted backrest for extra comfort.

Material

Garden table Tuur is made of iroko wood. Iroko is an African hardwood species that’s extremely suitable for making garden furniture. This wood is mostly known for its durability. It’s good to know sunlight may cause the wood to take on a grey colour. Iroko is a natural product, which means that the wood continues to work due to the influence of the weather. This can cause small cracks in the wood, but it doesn’t affect the quality of the wood. That’s why this so-called wood warping doesn’t entitle you to any complaints.

Our iroko wooden garden tables and garden chairs are sanded before they’re approved for delivery. The wood fibres may rise after its first contact with water. This makes the garden chair feel a bit rougher. Isn’t that to your preference? Then lightly sand Garden table Tuur once.

It isn’t necessary to treat your iroko wood furniture. However, this does belong to your options if you want to change the look of your furniture. Think of a suitable oil or sealer. As mentioned, the furniture doesn’t need to be treated, but we do recommend cleaning the iroko wood regularly with a damp cloth. Never use a high-pressure cleaner for this cleaning process, as this may affect the wood structure, making it very susceptible to mould and algae.

For permanent stains, we recommend using an abrasive. Avoid using steel wool, wire brushes, chlorine, and corrosive cleaning agents. Put Garden table Tuur indoors in wintertime, under a shelter, cover, or tarpaulin, making sure you extend its lifespan. Green deposits can occur in a relatively moist corner of the garden. We advise you to use a garden hose and suitable cleaning products to remove these kind of deposits.

Frame

The frame of this set stands out because of the diagonal lines used to strongly support the whole. For example, the tabletop rests on two U-shapes, with the uprights leaning slightly inwards.
