The pebble-shaped dining table is one of the striking creations we can make for you in our own workshop in Heeze. Dining tables with organic shapes are becoming increasingly popular and that’s not hard to explain. A pebble-shaped table stands out and offers you the opportunity to organise your space efficiently. Are you already a fan or are you curious about what exactly a pebble-shaped table is? Then you've come to the right page! Here we have listed all relevant information for you.

What is a pebble-shaped table?

Before we get into all the options we have to offer when composing a pebble-shaped table, it's a good idea to explain exactly what a pebble-shaped table is. As the name suggests, the tabletop of this piece of furniture has the shape of a pebble. The pebble is an organic shape, and these kinds of shapes are getting more and more popular.

Organic shapes belong to a separate category at Table du Sud. On the one hand you have the classic shapes like rectangular and round, while on the other hand you have organic shapes. These shapes are created by nature. Think, for example, of a water drop–or a pebble, of course!

Types of pebble-shaped tables

The advantage of having our own workshop in Heeze is that we have all the freedom to come up with new designs from time to time. The pebble-shaped table is relatively new and is available in two materials at Table du Sud.

Pebble-shaped oak

Working with impressive quality French oak is one of our specialties. We have different types of oak in store for you, so you can match your taste even better with your new furniture. Are you a fan of knots and small cracks in your tabletop? Then go for lived oak. New oak can be seen as the golden mean, while refined oak is very sleek looking. Want to know more? Pebble-shaped Fenix

Fenix is a thin sheet material with a nano-tech coating. This sheet material is made of paper (more than 60%) and thermosetting resin. The outer surface is treated with a new generation acrylic resin, which is hardened and fixed through an electron beam curing process. Pretty technical talk, but the result is a surface with an exceptionally matt and soft structure and, in our opinion, one that’s extremely suitable for making beautiful tables. You can read more about this material on our Fenix page.

Buy pebble-shaped table online

You’re most welcome in our showrooms for advice and of course to take a look at our furniture. But did you know that you can also easily order your new acquisition online? With our 3D generator you get to see your pebble-shaped dining table from all angles and positions. Below you’ll find our roadmap for ordering a new dining table.

Step 1: choose your table

This is obviously the most important step of the whole process. We make pebble-shaped tables with different frames and different materials. Choose the table that makes you happy and start composing!

Step 2: dimensions

Custom work from our own workshop. We’re working day in and out to deliver it. During step 2 you can see which sizes you can choose from. Is your size not listed? Then please contact us. A lot is possible!

Step 3: finish

In the case of oak, you can choose the type of oak you want here. You can choose from new oak, refined oak, and lived oak.

Step 4: choose your colour

Not unimportant, right?! When you think of a table made of wood, you may immediately think of that typical light brown wood colour, but did you know that we have no fewer than ten colours for you? This also applies to Fenix. This gives you the opportunity to have your new furniture match the rest of your interior.

Step 5: edge finish

When perfecting your interior, you obviously pay close attention to the details. We do the same with our furniture. We can make various edge finishes for you. Think of classic straight edges or a nice-looking radius that makes the edge slope inwards.

Step 6: frame

You have already chosen a tabletop and frame during step 1. Nevertheless, we’ll show you which frames are available. You may have overlooked some of them and just might discover a basis that suits you even better.

Step 7: powder coating

This is an optional step. The frame is outfitted with the classic steel look, but it’s also possible to go for a different colour. How about black, white, or gold, for example?

Inspiration

We’re happy to help you make your choice. Inspiration is very important, especially if you don't exactly know what you want yet. For example, are you charmed by organic shapes? Then read our blog about asymmetrical tables

In addition, the different living styles form a good foundation if you’re looking for new furniture, but also if you are planning a move or if you want to restyle. View all styles and discover which materials and colours naturally belong to them. From rural to industrial and everything in between.
